Pauley Perrette is a Dashing Diva

I don’t often post about celebs, mostly because they are covered in every itty bitty aspect of their lives on twenty-gazillion other websites. But this caught my eye… you see, Pauley Perrette is one of my favorite actresses. For those of you unfamiliar with her, she plays Abby, the techie-genius-perky-goth-forensic scientist on NCIS. Plus she can sing!

Anyhow, at New York fashion week this month, Pauley sported bright candy apple red nails courtesy of Dashing Diva’s nail polish in The Big Apple.

The Big Apple - a classic red nail polish

The Big Apple is described by Dashing Diva as “a true opaque red”. It’s a cream with no shimmer or glitter.

Dashing Diva nail polishes are available in their NY salon’s but also on DashingDiva.com for $8.

I swatched four of the other Dashing Diva Manhattan collection nail polishes back in May 2009. Mulberry Street and Wall Street were definitely my favorite colors.

Any other fans of Pauley out there? Or NCIS fans in general? How about those red nails?

Love. Her. SO. MUCH!!!! She is the reason I watch NCIS… well, her and Michael Weatherly. Yum.
And this polish looks fantastic! I’ll have to find some for my very own.

I adore this chick! She’s so darn good an actress, and I love that she’s so different a character. I love how “Abby” interacts so effortlessly with every other character, and isn’t intimidated by any of them, while still being respectful. Her style rocks, most definitely. But geez, she drinks so many 7-11 Big Gulps, HOW does she ever get any work done? LOL Michael Weatherly isn’t bad, I agree. 😉 Hee-hee. Love that color of polish. What a great price, too.

Tashi, Those are CafePows. 😉 But yeah, I agree, how is she NOT in the bathroom constantly? LOL!

Tashi & Cheap Chick- Personally, I’m more of a Mark Harmon/Gibbs fan. I’ve had a crush on him since the 80s.

Did you all see the Super Bowl commercial where they said “The Gibbs head smack is the new hand shake?” Then it showed “regular” people going around smacking each other upside the head. I about fell out of my chair laughing so hard!

Here’s some trivia for the Abby/Pauley fans….
Take a wild guess at how old she is (in real life)… and no cheating by going to IMDB or any other website. Just leave your guess below… :-)

Sorry, “Cafe Pows”? :-) I thought that those were just generic versions of Big Gulps, due to copyright issues on tv. She must have innards of steel, that “Abby”!! LOL

Yeah, Mark Harmon’s OK. 😉 Nah, I really like “Gibbs” too. The cast that they have now is SO good, they’d better not break it up — it just wouldn’t be the same show anymore. Is Harmon still married to Pam Dawber from “Mork & Mindy” fame?

I think Pauley is in her early 40s. Not sure why I think that, but I have a feeling that she’s at least in her late 30s. And I promise, I didn’t check anywhere on that. So, can I chacke *after* I post this?? 😉

Yep, now you can check her age. I was really surprised and thrilled actually. Makes me happy that just because of your age you don’t have to stop being happy, or doing things a little differently. (Like dyeing blue streaks in your hair, like… me. ha ha!)

Grrr, I meant, “…CHECK…”. And I’m even wearing glasses when reading and writing. LOL

Holy mac and cheese, she’ll be FORTY-ONE on March 27th! Rock on, sister. 8)

Yup, it’s cool that some people don’t let age affect their style TOO much, you know, like adhering to traditional styles for age groups. It’s that funky-happy-go-lucky-I’ll-march-to-the-beat-of-my-own-darn-drummer way of living that absolutely adds to one’s “beauty”, inside *and* out, regardless of what others expect of you (That’s one reason I love Betsey Johnson, too. She’s gotta be close to my mom’s age.). “I gotta be meeeeee! I gotta be meeeeee!” 😉 lol

That was about my reaction when I found out here. YOU GO GIRL!!!

And pfffttt (that’s me sticking my tongue out) to all the people who say I should dye my hair back to blonde, remove my nose ring (or as my mom calls it “My nose hole”. It’s just the tiny speck of sparkle ones, *not* a bull ring), and stop dyeing funky colors into my hair. Some people have said I should work out/lose weight too. Ha! Yeah right people.

This was all advice given to me so I could get guys to date me. Hummm… would I *really* want to date some guy who didn’t like my hair escapades and nose ring and spunky attitude? I think not.

Right?
Gals, rock on as you wish now. 😀
