In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, (you all know I’m trying to spread the word far and wide if you’re a regular reader of Bionic Beauty) I have painted my toesies in a pink ribbon fashion!
The pedicure itself is very simple… just 2 coats of Nubar’s Oh Baby Pink. Then on my big toe, I used a dark pink (this one is by OPI “Pompeii Purple”) to create the ribbon. It would also look gorgeous with a white ribbon! Or white nails and a pink ribbon.
One tip for painting the ribbon on your nails… start by forming a curved “X” shape and then connect the top of the X with an arch. This is much easier than trying to create the full ribbon at once. Let me know if you try it out!

Super cute pedi! Great work!
Thanks Nicole! And the good news? That pedi lasted for ages. No chipping, flaking, etc. And I got loads of compliments on it from men and women alike. It seems everyone is taking notice of Breast Cancer Awareness month. And rightly so!
Cheers,
BB
That’s really cool…. I should get a pink ribbon for my website…. I’m a man and not in the habit of painting my nails but maybe for good causes I should make exceptions
You should TOTALLY paint your toes for a good cause! In fact, I hear it’s the *new fad* for guys to do pedicures with paint. I have several guy friends who are hooked on the new mushroomy and gray colors. Now, the BH (Bionic Hubby) won’t have anything to do with it, but I did finally get him to try a PedEgg!
If the NFL/NHL and other big manly sports guys can wear pink ribbons, we all can, right?
Thanks so much for stopping by Bionic Beauty! Welcome! Hope to see you ’round here soon.
Cheers,
BB
Ha ha, I don’t think I will be doing it yet….. Halloween is tomorrow though so may be a good time to do such things for many men!
I’m subscribing now so I can keep up with things here
