I’ve launched a new poll on Bionic Beauty. Do you rotate your shampoo and conditioner between different brands?
I know some people feel their hair performs better and is more manageable if they use a different brand of shampoo. So they’ll rotate when a bottle runs out, or use another brand/type of shampoo once or twice a week. What’s your preference?
And below are the results of the previous Bionic Beauty poll… Do you get your yearly mammogram?
- Yes, definitely! (59%, 65 Votes)
- I’m not quite old enough yet, but I plan to! (25%, 27 Votes)
- No… (16%, 18 Votes)
- Total Voters: 110
Thankfully, most of you already get your annual mammograms! For those 18 out there who don’t, let’s make the change this year. No matter what your age, it’s something simple you can do for yourself and your family to help catch any potential problems early.
Thanks for voting!

I definitely rotate my shampoos. I have short hair and use gels so I need to wash my hair almost every day. I like to use one shampoo for about 2 weeks and then switch to another.
I rotate my shampoos, for a couple of reasons: when my hair hasn’t been dyed in a while, I’ll use Suave. When it’s just been dyed, I’ll use color-treated-hair stuff. A few weeks after it’s been dyed, I’ll use John Frieda’s Sheer Blonde to lighten/highlight. (I also stock WAY up on sales, so that I’ve always got enough shampoo/conditioner of any given type.)
I alternate every other day with Head and Shoulders shampoo and conditioner (the classic one, or sometimes I switch it up to another one) and Garnier shampoo and conditioner for long hair. I sometimes throw in some Aussie deep conditioner instead. And I stock up on my favorite brands during sales. My sister is a cosmetologist and for christmas she asked me if I wanted her to pick a really nice set of shampoo and conditioner from among the more expensive brands for me. I was like, heck yeah!
I ROTATE BRANDS OF SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER AFTER MY BOTTLES RUN OUT.
i use optimum shampoo nd conditioner, strong anti breakage
nd for itchy scalp.for once aweek,nd when i runn out i use the same brand but the olive oil s/c for when i need some hydration nd my hair is really dry nd the deep conditioner.buh if im tight on money i use pink
shampoo n conditioner.
I usually rotate frequently with whatever has been on sale lately. I have never seen that much difference from the different types of shampoos and maybe only a minor difference in the conditioners.
This will be a very interesting poll! I am guessing that most people do not rotate their use of shampoo. From what I can tell from sales at our salon, people generally prefer to stick with something that works for them rather than spend time trying to find multiple alternatives.
With naturally curly hair I have to change my routine as soon as the seasons change, but it’s difficult to find what works.
