Achieve Powerful Beauty with Bionic Beauty™Today Christa Vagnozzi shares her thoughts on how to Achieve Powerful Beauty. Christa is a writer and a blogger. Be sure to stop by her blog, Martini Talk. It’s a perfect Friday read! She’ll give you all sorts of ideas for cocktails you can enjoy this weekend.

My mom always told me never to leave the house without makeup. And so I’ve been shellacking my face ever since I was 13, even getting up at 5 a.m. during high school to do my hair and makeup. So to me, powerful beauty does have a lot to do with putting on eyeliner and getting all dolled up, because even though I now can leave the house without blush or mascara, I still don’t feel 100 percent myself when I do. However, regardless of how much makeup a girl puts on, in the end, it’s confidence that makes her powerfully beautiful.

Did your mom or family instill any similar ideas into while growing up? I have to admit that mine did and it took me ages to get over it. Now my friends (or date, or /insert relationship status here/) roll their eyes when I run into the bathroom to put on makeup before heading out. It’s flattering that they say I don’t need the makeup to be beautiful (all together now… “awwwww”), and I know that I don’t *need* it, but I actually enjoy using makeup creatively!

Catch up on the rest of the Powerful Beauty features. And remember to check back each Friday for another dose of how to Achieve Powerful Beauty!

What is it with guys about us spending time for makeup. I’m lucky that my guy didn’t say anything but going shopping with him is still a pain, if I stop by the cosmetic section, haha

Anna, I think that’s the better option! We can be pretty without makeup. It’s just something that enhances and shouldn’t define our beauty. :) But yep, now I’m an addict. I have WAY TOO much makeup, nail polish, hair products.

Halifax, Too funny! When I walk in Walgreens, the Bionic Hubby automatically says “Now Focus!! We are here for so & so… *not* makeup or nail polish”. Tee hee! I love digging through their new racks looking for sales and rocking finds. 😀
