Achieve Powerful Beauty with Bionic Beauty™
This Friday Lisa, the whiz-bang founder behind Cactus and Ivy bath and spa products, joins Bionic Beauty to share her thoughts on Powerful Beauty. In addition to a creating her own line of fabulous, vegan, and all-natural scrubs, lotions, body washes, soaps and body balms, she also maintains her own blog called The Southern Accent.

Lisa is also one of my good internet buddies. She and I share a very similar past so we had an instant connection. We’re both a bit horse-crazed and thank our lucky stars for the special four-legged pals that blessed our lives.

Here is Lisa’s unique response to defining Powerful Beauty…

“I’ve never been a huge make-up addict. While I love the natural and organic cosmetics out there, I’m a minimal kind of gal. To me, Powerful Beauty means so much more than the make-up or clothes your wear or how you style your hair.

Growing up in the military molded me to be a well rounded person. Leaving old friends for a new town and mustering up the courage to make new friends was a challenge I faced every 3 years. It was a vicious cycle and one I am grateful for.

Powerful Beauty has nothing to do with the outward appearance, it is compassion, heart, love, giving of yourself to those less fortunate, walking into a crowded room and never meeting a stranger, standing up for what is right, defending those that can’t defend themselves, help another realize or fulfill their dreams……my definition of Powerful Beauty is being a good human being.”

Is your definition of Powerful Beauty similar to Lisa’s?

Robyn, I’m a total animal lover as well!! I’ve always had a ton of pets and have really started to get involved in various organizations- as well as paying attention to cruelty-free, animal friendly brands. I’m also switching my makeup brushes over to synthetics. I’m basically just using the older brushes until they were out and then gradually replacing them with taklon or other varieties. I’d have a house full of rescue pets if I could. Someday… maybe I’ll have a whole farm that I can fill with critters! 🙂
