Achieve Powerful Beauty with Bionic Beauty™
Happy Friday!!!! I came across a few quotes this week that seemed super appropriate for sharing with my fellow Bionic Beauties.

Three of these quotes I discovered via the ‘net. The fourth (and my personal favorite) is pulled from…. “the increasingly misnamed trilogy of five books” (have you guessed it yet?)… The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Universe series! I’m almost ashamed to admit that I have not read these books until now, but not really ashamed since I am rectifying that oversight. And rather quickly. I’m on book three now – Life, the Universe and Everything – and it’s awesome!

“I find beauty in unusual things, like hanging your head out the window or sitting on a fire escape.”

~ Scarlett Johansson, from Seventeen Magazine, May 2007

“Sculptors, poets, painters, musicians – they’re the traditional purveyors of Beauty. But it can easily be created by a gardner, a farmer, a plumber, a careworker.”

~ Charles De Lint, from The Onion Girl

“It’s important for all types of women to know that you don’t have to fit a prototype of what one person thinks is beautiful in order to be beautiful, or feel beautiful. People think: sexy, big breasts, curvy body, no cellulite. It’s not that. Take the girl at the beach with the cellulite legs, wearing her bathing suit the way she likes it, walking with a certain air, comfortable with herself. That woman is sexy. Then you see the perfect girl, who’s really thin, tugging at her bathing suit, wondering how her hair looks. That’s not sexy.”

~ Jennifer Lopez, from Reader’s Digest, August 2003

Quote by Douglas Adams from The Restaurant at the End of the Universe

Nice quotes, right? Please share your favorite beauty, book, or whatever quotes below!

“There is no cosmetic for beauty like happiness.” ~Maria Mitchell

Also, a favorite classic of mine — classic quote, classy woman:
“For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.” ~Audrey Hepburn
She also is quoted with “I believe happy girls are the prettiest girls.”
Big fan. :)

Oh my goodness, Kimberley… Those are some of the most amazing quotes ever! I especially love the two from Audrey Hepburn. And yes, I am a big fan too!

I found a full-version of the happy girls quote and it is awesome:

“I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles.”
~ Audrey Hepburn

Thanks for contributing, Kimberley!

Hey Island Girl,
From your comment and a few of the others, it sounds like we BB readers are all on a similar page. Happiness, passion, strength in one’s self – all make a person beautiful. There’s too much of the “only makeup or medical procedures can make you beautiful” in life today. While I love makeup, it’s something that should further increase happiness and creativity. Not something to be relied on as a way to ONLY create beauty.

Thanks for your comment. You’re the best!

The most beautiful makeup for a woman is passion. But cosmetics are easier to buy. -YvesSaint Laurent

fwiw, I choose passion AND cosmetics :)

Dear Mo, That quote is absolutely incredible!!! And I completely agree with you. Passion and happiness show through – making a woman unbelievably beautiful in every way. :-)

Thanks so much for sharing the quote!
