I have been doing public speaking on the power of women at any age and any size who adopt a fitness lifestyle. Fitness is feeling good on the inside and looking good on the outside. It is more lasting than a manicure, a hair style, or a facelift.
Fitness is the Fountain of Youth. We age every minute of every day, but aging doesn’t have to be synonymous with deterioration.
Fitness can begin at any age and any size. It is a lifestyle that is about enhancement, not denial. It is a commitment to yourself that will pay off in a multitude of benefits which include diminishing your risks of contracting chronic and debilitating health problems such as diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, and even Alzheimer’s Disease. Aging does not cause these health issues, a sedentary lifestyle does.
Since Sherry focuses on fitness and a healthy lifestyle, what do you do to stay active? Personally, I do not have the personality that allows me to stay motivated with a regimented routine of exercise. Instead I prefer to just be active. I kayak in our canal (we have pedal and paddle kayaks so I can flip up arm and leg work outs), sailing (it’s a better workout than you might think lol), swimming, walking the dogs, some yoga and pilates, and even dancing while I clean the house. What’s your version of fitness?
