Achieve Powerful Beauty with Bionic Beauty™

Happy Friday ladies! And as always… Friday means Powerful Beauty day! Veronika Waks is a MD and practices as a naturopathic doctor in Connecticut. She also consults on the side for beauty and overall health issues.

And now onto Veronika’s Powerful Beauty segment…

Most of us can’t make any definite connection between internal health and external beauty. The connection, indeed, is not immediately visible, and it has many parts. The food and water we consume, and also health of our digestive tract, play essential roles.

Food that is genetically modified, radiated, bleached, and sprayed with herbicides, pesticides and artificial colors, has lost essential components: vitamins, minerals, anti-oxidants. Harmful chemicals have been added. These changes initiate the aging process and are expressed on the surface of the skin too, in the form of blemishes, wrinkles and prematurely sagging skin. The changes do not happen overnight, but by the time patients reach the age of age 35, I can see immediately whether or not they are eating healthy food.

Our body is almost 70% water. If we do not drink 6-8 cups of water a day our skin starts to loose its elasticity, and waste materials start to accumulate and eventually choke it.

Teeth, stomach and intestines are all essential in breaking down and absorbing the food that we eat. If teeth and gums are in poor shape, or stomach or intestines are inflamed, food will not be broken down and absorbed. Many essential nutrients are lost and healthy and beautiful skin can not be built.

You simply cannot have beautiful skin unless you are supplying it with all necessary nutrients for proper cell function and reproduction. Beauty begins with your food and digestive health.

So Veronika’s basis for beauty is to start nourishing it from within. I know I’ve seen a dramatic change in my hair and skin’s elasticity after ditching my unhealthier eating habits (don’t get me wrong, I still indulge in my chocolates… life’s too short to not eat yummy food), but I do feel better inside and out when I eat better.

What do you ladies think? Do you see a skin or outer reaction when you eat better or worse?

Catch up on the rest of the Powerful Beauty features. And remember to check back each Friday for another dose of how to Achieve Powerful Beauty!

Completely! When I eat nutritiously, my whole body benefits, not just my face. And when I’m a lazy slacker eating fast food… you can see it in my skin. Blech! Thank you for the reminder to eat better!
