Aveda Hand Relief lotion - reviewed by Bionic Beauty blog

Come winter time, I’m consistently on the hunt for a creamy hand lotion to prevent chapped, cracked winter hands.  During this annual hunt, I picked up Aveda’s Hand Relief.

This super creamy lotion quickly moisturized my damaged hands. As a bonus it healed and prevented my hang nails, seemed to improve the health of my nails, and really reduced the rough spots on my elbows. I only applied it while at home since it is a bit greasy for about 3 minutes after application. It’s lightly scented so that shouldn’t be an issue with users. After a week’s use, my hand skin was much improved! I even carry a small tin of this in my purse for when I need “emergency” moisture.

While it seems a bit pricey at $19 for a 4.2 ounce tube (available on, you only need a pea size amount for your hands. It will definitely last me a long time!

Feel free to check out the Hand Relief reviews over at I know I feel better if I read a few different opinions before buying something. Enjoy!

Oh, this is one of my ultimate faves! A little too heavy for our humid summers, but awesome for desert-dry winters. Thanks for reviewing this!

That is a little pricey but Aveda’s worth it! I love their products 🙂

This is one of my favorite lotions for quick hand relief. Limnanthes alba( meadowform ) present in this product is known to be an effective moisturizer. This powerful hand lotion also has the anti-inflammatory properties of Licorice in it.

Sheetal, thank you SO much for sharing your knowledge and experience with this product! How did you start learning so much about skin care and herbal properties?

Welcome to Bionic Beauty! I hope I’ll see you on here in the future.

LOVE IT!!! My brother manages a salon and he started buying me the hand and foot relief for Xmas and I have been hooked every since. I smoke so my hands are always dry but this stuff is well worth the price.
