Thank you so much Justin, to take the time….when I review I try to, of course, TEST the results, but also try to research to understand ingredients. The good, the bad and honestly most often- if someone “reads” an ingredient is bad, it is just taken at face value. I really am trying to learn what is truly good, bad and why…so when I write a review, I can bring forth more than just a “Hey, it work’s well!”

I feel its something I owe to the readers since it helps them trust a review and hopefully make an educated decision before purchase and using a product.

Looking back over many products, I remember that I really like HydroPeptide and am now very glad I revisited this. We encourage and welcome all feedback. Especially things that are unknown or controversial…that’s how we all learn.

I hope you will stay in touch and share your insights, it truly is welcome and greatly appreciated. I am most impressed when serious thought and research are put into every single ingredient used in a product, and this goes to show why.

You should read this:
“Butylene glycol (BG) (1,3-Butanediol, CAS No. 107-88-0) is a common humectant and solubilizer used in cosmetic and food preparations. Its safety and usage has been well documented and approved by such agencies as the US FDA, the US EPA, and the CTFA (see below). Studies have even shown that when ingested by mammals, BG metabolizes into b-hydroxybutyraldehyde which is then converted through a process of intermediates into acetyl CoA, an intermediate of the citric acid cycle, which supplies energy to the body in the form of ATP.[1]”

Better late than never? Great catch, I have learned so much since I wrote this review. I appreciate the Butylene Glycol point out. I really am struggling with my eye’s and dark circle’s and am revisiting all option’s…It’s frustrating when a product with not such great ingredient’s have good result’s….

I honestly don’t know enough about the pro’s and con’s….but sometime’s I go back and use my review’s to remember which one’s were the best….

Jami..any insight on how dangerous or the bad effect’s of this ingredient? I would NOT use this on my face with my tendency to break out, but just under eye’s…?????

Isn’t the 3rd ingredient, butylene glycol, a petroleum derivative?
