Product Review: Jeune d’age serum

by Bionic Beauty on 06.Nov.2009 · 29 comments

Bionic Bronnie introduces us to the new organic and eco-friendly skin care line – Jeune D’Age Organics!

Jeune D’age Organics skin care is one of the most amazing brands I’ve reviewed. The line consists of four products that compliment each other; plus they are relatively affordable and exceptionally high quality. I’ll be reviewing all four products on Bionic Beauty in the coming few weeks, but the facial serum is first because, in my opinion, it was the best!

The first time I used Jeune D’age Serum my face felt so good that the only way I can explain it is it “made my face giggle!”. It was such an amazing experience to use Jeune D’age and I haven’t said that about many products before.

Bionic Beauty blog review - Jeune D'age Organics skin care anti-aging serum

Bionic Bronnie reviews Jeune D'age Organics' anti-aging facial serum!

The Hydrating, Firming Anti-Aging Serum gave my face a healthy glow that lasted most of the day. I’ve pretty much stopped wearing makeup and use the serum along with a touch of lip color and mascara!

This serum comes in a beautiful recycled black box with a coconut wood button and gold tassel. The neatest part? When you are finished with it, you can plant the box and it will grow wildflowers!! But it’s so pretty, I couldn’t bury it. You have to see this packaging to really appreciate it.

The serum’s active ingredients include:

  • Acai berry
  • CoQ10
  • Vitamins A, B, C and E
  • Natural DMAE and Hyaluronan
  • Natural AHAs and ALAs

These carefully chosen ingredients hydrate skin while they also plump, lift and oxygenate. This face serum helps to regulate and speed up cell renewal and turnover (i.e. exfoliation). It also promotes collagen growth (and reduces collagen loss), and lessens wrinkles in a BIG way!

Inside the box you’ll find thirty single use packets of serum. The individual packages allow for no contamination and no oxidation… and since everything is sealed until use, there’s no need for parabens (Parabens are not necessarily bad. They typically function as a preservative to help your products have a longer shelf life- such as three months instead of three days).

I adore this serum so much I’m using it twice a day. I’ve had such a positive response to this serum that I even had some friends test some as well. Everyone loved it! Out of everything I have tested so far this year, Jeune D’age Serum is what I’m giving as holiday gifts. I’ve already ordered a box of serum for my Mom (who is so skin-sensitive she can hardly use anything) and a serum refill for myself.

Jeune D’age Organics is a vegan, eco-friendly company that doesn’t test on animals and uses as much recycled, and recyclable, packaging as possible. Very green mindset!

A 30 packet gift box of Jeune D’age Serum is $39.95; or buy a set of the refills (if you choose not to bury your gorgeous box!) for $29.95; and if you’re looking to grab the full line of products, check out the special Gift Set for $97.50 (a savings of $17.30!).

Also, be sure to check out the Jeune D’age Organics skincare website for more reviews, ingredients information and to see the full skincare line.

Stay tuned for more reviews of Jeune D’age Organics skin care products including their Marin Toner, Premiere Cleanser, and Prevoir Face and Body Lotion.

What are your thoughts on Jeune D’age ingredients in this serum? Do you like their green mentality? Or maybe you’ve tried the line and want to share your thoughts in the comments section!

is this line good for those of us who are acne prone at times?

4 Briana November 7, 2009 at 12:20 pm

Michael-Feel free to jump in here to help explain this for Jessica, you created this wonderful serum, you may be able to answer it best!

Hi Jessica,
I have terrible acne at 41. Yes, it help’s. The Willowbark and Tea Tree Oil in the toner both help acne (Willowbark is a natural Salicylic Acid)
Tea Tree is long known for healing power’s and anti-bacterial.

The Lotion has so many great ingredient’s but green tea also help’s with acne and b vitamin’s.

I tested the entire set..and at first it really detoxified my face and I seemed to break out more, but once it cleared up the toxin’s deep in my skin, my face is beautiful.

Personally, most acne treatment’s really left my skin hurting, burning and screaming for moisture. This serum feel’s like heaven, don’t get it toooo close to your eye’s.

I really suggest the toner as’s on the website and a review is’s affordable and toning ph balance’s the skin. I can almost see the change in angry red spot’s when I use the toner.

Rinsing off with water doesn’t leave your face happy..the water is usually too high in ph..that’s why toner is so can feel it work with the toner and see the red flare up’s soothe down.

It’s so cleanse, tone, serum, moisturize ,especially with acne…
Bionic Bronnie

Ladies! ALWAY’S wear sunscreen! Even in the winter..eye area, lip’s, It is the main enemy we fave daily! Face? oops! No pun intended!

Hi Jessica,

I’ve had great feedback from customers on this very subject, including men, that are ordering the serum. Serums are concentrated formulas. In our case, a serum that helps to rid your skin of free radicals and provide vitamins and natural compounds for skin health. The Vitamin A, B3 and B5 in the Serum work very well for most to clear up Acne.

Using a good Cleanser in addition to soap and water helps nourish your face and clean out the pours while providing some added vitamins. If you use a cleanser, this should be done first.

Briana makes a great point regarding the Toner and this is your second step. Tea Tree Oil is commonly used for treating Acne. Using a Toner to get your pH balanced after washing or cleansing is really important and so many people forget this step (Tone within 15 minutes of washing or cleansing). But equally important is the minerals that accompany Toners that help to activate the Vitamins in other products. In the case of our Marin Toner, we have included Organic Sea Kelp and Blue Green Algae along with Dead Sea Salt. These ingredients are absolutely packed with essential minerals. Follow this up with the serum/moisturizer. We think ours is great (of course) but use what works best for you.

Thanks for that info!

If I had to select a single product for facial care, it would be Jeune D’Age Antiaging Serum.
I will be 67 next month. My face was seriously showing it, too. I have tried at least a couple of dozen products, including many serums, revitalizers, “renewing” lotions, and so on. Some make amazing claims; many sell for amazing prices too.
I have very sensitive skin. So many of the products I have tried that are supposed to be hypoallergenic, or safe for sensitive skin, or non-irritating, or whatever – end up making my face burn, or turn red, or in extreme cases, just fall right off! [Just kidding, everyone. I wanted to see if you were paying attention].
Back to my comment..
Jeune D’Age Serum feels SO good when I put it on my face. My face feels positively grateful. After a few minutes, if I look in the mirror, I can actually see the difference. So can other people. They don’t know what I have done that is different, but they look at me and then do a touble take, or they say, “Gee, you are looking yiounger. Retirement must agree with you.”
Michael and I have this secret. He promises not to tell. And I am certain that I can trust each and every one of you who tries this incredible product to keep our secret too. We will all just smile mysteriously, smug cats all, and say, “Why, thank you.”
Michael is the one who deserves the thanks. I would love to know what the wildflowers look like that would grow if I planted the box; but I am still using it. I plan to be using it for many, many years. I’ll just order more packets to fill the box. Maybe I could get a new box every year. I really am curious about those flowers.

8 Michael Lamb November 8, 2009 at 2:24 am

Susan, wow! PLEASE, next time you order let yourself be known (mention the comment here) and I will send you another box with your refills! Then send us pictures of your flowers? 🙂

9 Susan November 8, 2009 at 3:40 pm

Who could refuse such an offer?

You’re on, Michael. And I will be happy to post the picture. See, everyone, how clever he is?
Thank you. I am on my way to your website to place an order for not only the serum, but the toner, cleanser and lotion as well. I’ll post my comments here.
Oh, I am so excited!
Your loyal fan….susan

10 Jessica November 8, 2009 at 6:15 pm

Okay, I am sold!

11 Briana November 9, 2009 at 12:44 pm

I want to KNOW if anyone has the gut’s to plant their box? Yeah, right….never!

12 Michael Lamb November 9, 2009 at 1:11 pm

We made the box to be used for keys, bathroom stuff like tweezers, clippers, etc. But it will begin to go soft if it gets wet, especially in the ground. 🙂 Bury it shallow and keep it moist to get the seeds to germinate…IF, you do choose to plant it.

I would love to try this. Does this product retails in Asia? Particularly in Singapore?

Thank you for the message. An Australian retailer will soon be carrying our products, Bathing Beauty. The company will be ready to do business in February. You can leave your address with them on their site. Or until that time we can ship products to you.

I have just ordered for the first time and am excited by all these reviews! I hope, I really hope that I won’t be disappointed yet again. I cannot count how many facial serums, creams, etc from Olay, Hydroxatone, Estee Lauder, DDF to La Prairie, and it’s always been just ho hum. Thank you for the decent pricing, Michael. What a refreshing change. Anyway, I will be sure to follow up with a comment after I start using the serum!

MaryAnne, thank you for the order! We shipped the order and look forward to your comments. Have a great weekend!

Here’s a quick followup on my Original Review:

I recently saw my Mom after not seeing her for several month’s. During the time we were apart, I was lucky enough to review the Jeune D’age Product’s and get her onto the complete 4 product routine.

SHE LOOKED AMAZING!!!! 10 year’s younger, smooth even tone, minimized pores and a drastic reduction in wrinkles and lines. She used to had red splotches on her face, uneven tone, aging in general.

Her skin is so beautiful now she doesn’t even need foundation at truly made an impression on Me. I didn’t honestly realize that skin could be changed that much, in only a few month’s, with truly proper and healthy skincare.

I test product’s constantly, endless bottles and mixture’s….and truly give each one it’s fair chance and allow enough time to bring you the best review’s I can. I hope someday that those of you who read my review’s can trust them enough to go out and try something fantastic when I find it.

My Mom is so sensitive, she has never found a skincare system that she could actually use period. Let alone one that would address issue’s of aging, tone, Everything we all worry about. She balked at every product I sent her, and rejected them all…(Yes, even the $150 bottle’s….) It wouldn’t work with her skin. It burned her eye’s, or her skin.

I stumbled upon this product line and told her it was packed with amazing ingredient’s, easing her into it with the serum, then toner, then slowly the entire system. She was and is able to use it. She look’s so different, radiant, more beautiful than ever.

I have given out more product that I have purchased since then for my own use than I have used myself it seem’s, but everyone LOVES it and honestly ask’s where to buy it.

My Holistic super health nut Doctor just converted and is thinking now of offering the product line in her office to patient’s…now that speak’s volume’s!

Just to remind everyone, I don’t get paid for this at all. I do it because I learned that common skincare ingredient’s are being found in breast cancer tissue. I singled out which ingredient’s that the “A-list” brand’s were pushing..I research them…to find what does good and what does harm.

I felt the need to add that because I feel if you know my motive’s, you may just trust my Bionic Review’s a bit more!

Have a Bionic Day!

I am honored and very thankful for the fantastic comments. Thank you so much!

20 Susan January 16, 2010 at 6:38 pm

A brief follow-up comment. Now that I am using the full complement of Michael’s products, aomething really strange has happened to me. Most of my life, I get up in the morning, splash some water on my face, dry it, and maybe spread a glop pf moisturizer on my face, and I’m good to go. In the evening, if I happened to wear makeup that day, I would actually use soap, or cleanser if I had it. Rinse, dry, I thought toner was to remove excess oil, and might tighten pores.
NOW: I actually look forward to following the routine Michael suggests. It not only feels wonderul, I can see the difference. Instant positive feedback. Instead of being haphazard about my skin care routine, these peoducts have changed my whole attitude about it.
I never would have thought I would be saying these things, but here I am.
I feel almost virtuous! (LOL)

21 Michael Lamb January 19, 2010 at 2:20 pm

Thank you so much Susan. We spend a lot of time on each product to make sure it comes out right. We hope to add two more this year!

22 Vevster February 12, 2010 at 11:09 am

Hi I just started using the product this week. As a woman of color, I’m observing how this product affects my post breakout hyperpigmentation. I’m enthusiastic and looking to get your toner and body lotion! I may just get it today!

I also appreciate the fast shipping of my order. I ordered samples from a local company here in NY and almost 2 weeks later NOTHING. They are losing out because I’m not even interested in their products anymore.

23 Bionic Beauty February 12, 2010 at 2:04 pm

Hi Vevster, Welcome to Bionic Beauty! 🙂 And I’m so happy to hear of your good results with Jeune D’age so far. If you order, don’t forget the new discount code that’s active. 24 Bionic Bronnie February 12, 2010 at 1:30 pm

Hi Vevster,
Thank you for such valuable feedback….I’ve been asked about darker skin before and wasn’t sure if the result’s would be the same, but they were.
I think you will notice a bigger change when you add the toner..If I don’t do anything else , I alway’s tone and then use the serum daily. I use 2 pad’s and really give it time to massage the toner with the pad’s…love to hear back when you add it ..

25 Michael Lamb February 13, 2010 at 12:50 am

Amazing product. I saw results after using the serum for only for few days. My skin looks very eventoned, refresh and healthy. I find myself using less and less foundation now. Highly recommended.

Actually this new product sounds awesome! Have to try it most definitely! 🙂 Is it possible to order it to Germany?
And I’m having another question: I heard from a new brand called “Dr. Duve”, a german dermatologist… It’s supposed to be really good too… But I’m not sure if hyaluronic acid works for my sensitive skin… Does anybody knows something about that?
Thanks a lot!

29 Michael Lamb March 24, 2010 at 9:19 am

Hello Charlotte,

Yes, we currently have customers in Germany, Norway and the UK and ship using standard Postal Service to make it as affordable as possible. Hyaluronic Acid is quite gentle and is the best moisturizing ingredient available. We also use a mild form of Vitamin A as well. Some are sensitive to Glycerin so that may be an issue as we have Vegetable Glycerin in our serum. If Glycerin is not an issue we would love to have another customer from Germany! 🙂
