Hi Alaicia, I’m sorry to hear that this shampoo and conditioner didn’t work for you. However, I know several women with ethic hair that this works perfectly for. It may have been a prior treatment you had done, or maybe an allergy to a certain ingredient. But that is what makes us unique… some products work for some women, and other product don’t.

I really appreciate you sharing your advice with women on here! Maybe it will help someone!

I would also recommend not cutting your color out. The pHormulate hair care styling products do not deposit color, remove color or in any way change your hair color. They don’t contain pigments or peroxide, so I am not sure why a shampoo or conditioner from pHormulate would have cause you to cut your hair off. Maybe you could elaborate? My guess would be that whatever hair color your previous stylist used damaged your hair and that is the reason your hair reacted poorly. it probably would have happened no matter what hair care products you used after the treatment. I always recommend waiting at least 48 hours before shampooing (longer if possible) after any kind of chemical process.

I hope this information helps. Please share some details on what hair color brand was used and why your stylist advised on cutting the color out. It seems something less drastic should have been the answer.

This product is not a good product. My stylist told me it was good for ethnic hair and I found out that it wasn’t. My hair and several other women that went to the same stylist experienced the same problem. Hair breakage, balding around temple and the only way to stop the breakage was to cut the color out.

Joyce, I hear ya girl. It can be such a battle finding something that works well for colored hair. So many seem to strip hair or gunk it up. It’s quite hard to find that happy medium.
