You could try their new ‘sensitive skin’ version. Personally I’ve never had any problems – and it leaves my skin feeling lovely and soft.

Wow.. I have been using this product for nearly 10 years, and my face doesn’t get clean without it. I have really oily skin, so it is necessary to scrub away the dead skin cells. I have never broken out due to the use of this product.

Kenya, Welcome to Bionic Beauty, good to have you here! I think I get itchy and irritated just thinking about the scrub these days. I’m testing out a new set of facial masks and should have the results up soon. They are natural and the textures are nice. I’ll post a review quick- maybe something to try.

SO glad i’m not the only one that ran into some issues. Awhile back I purchased a number of drugstore items to perform my own home facial after watching a tutorial on youtube. Afterwards I noticed quite a bit of irritation. Since I used more than one product during the facial, I wasn’t sure which particular item caused it, or if it was a combination that did it. I haven’t used the scrub since then, but hearing other reactions gives me the idea that it just might have been the scrub.

sorry that you had this experience. i think the formula is too rough as well but surprised at the amount of people that love it. i’ve heard that they’ve come up with a more gentle formula. i haven’t looked for it in the line because i’ve found a pretty good daily exfoliator.

if you are ready to ditch, try it on your feet first.. or like lilan’s suggestion.. legs or elsewhere that maybe able to tolerate a good thorough scrub

Hi BionicBeauty,

I have the same feeling about this scrub. I’ve purchased it twice already, thinking that it would be a good drugstore scrub for my face. But sadly, the second time I bought it, I remembered why I didn’t have it in my beauty arsenal in the first place – it’s scruffy and ouchy on my skin. And I haven’t used it again since.

Funny though, because the tube is still sitting in my shower.. Maybe I’ll finish it on my legs – I need somethinig to help me exfoliate before I self tan this season

i like this product…well i have this black head comedo things, and its always feel nice after scrubbing , and yes i feel exfoliated and clean with this apricot scrub..
looks like i’m the only one who like this product

Yes, irritating to the skin and irritating to the mind when you see you skin getting scratched and pimply. I’m going to take Jen’s suggestion and try something a bit gentler- maybe a sugar scrub.

I tried this scrub many years ago and also found that it was excessively irritating to my sensitive skin. Seems the formula must not have changed since then…Thanks for the tip.
