Herbal Essences shampoos and conditioners have long been a favorite of mine… mostly because of their lovely scents. And now the hair care line has added some incredible new twists! Literally.
Introducing Hydralicious. The line is ultra affordable coming in at under $4 a bottle. Getting back to the twist… each shampoo bottle looks like it’s printed with tie-dye. But it’s not! That’s the actual swirly goodness of the shampoo! Hydralicious contains multiple formulas in each bottle to target your hairs needs.
Shampoos and Conditioners are available in:
“Self-Targeting” in the pink bottles for balancing your entire head of hair. Self-targeting is scented like Strawberries (perfect for the ultimate Bella Swan fanatic).
“Featherweight” in the sunset orange bottles. Featherweight contains super-light weight moisturizers to help boost body while maintaining hair health. The scent is a tropical mix of fruit and citrus. Yummiful!
“Reconditioning” is packed in the purple bottles. Just like the variety name suggests this set packs a whollop of moisture. And it’s my ultimate favorite from the new line. Most drugstore hair care lines (with the exception of L’Oreal EverPure) contain no where near enough moisture for my dry hair. Reconditioning did the job without weighing my hair down. I’m not sure what is behind the scent, but it’s fresh and fun!
Hydralicious is available at your local drugstore, grocery or online at drugstore.com for $3.99 a bottle. Definitely a thrifty Bionic Buy!
Want further proof of the freshness of this new line? Each bottle contains funky trivia on the back. You’ll find the answer on the matching bottle! Here’s an example: 33% of women have lied about what? I’ll give the answer in the comments below after you all have had a few guesses.

The Bionic Beauty™ blog features cosmetic reviews from indie, drugstore and luxury brands; makeup looks and tips; beauty & makeup freebies; plus your weekly dose of fun, confidence and self-esteem!

Um… their hair color? I’d say weight, but I’m pretty sure the percentage would be higher!
Thank you for the thrifty tip! I’ll give this one a go the next time I’m at Target.
Actually Erin, you’re right. It was Weight. I would’ve thought it was higher too!
cAN’T WAIT TI TRY IT
I’m definitely going to try the reconditioning. I color my hair and need to try something with more moisture.
Amy and Nita, Let me know if you ladies try Hydralicious out. I’d love to hear your thoughts and experience with it!
All the best,
~BB
I love Herbal Essences too, and would love to try the new “featherweight” Hydralicious shampoo and conditioner!
Love the self targeting, hope it comes to the UK soon as its very expensive to ship
