Hi, I’m Jami. I am a total lip balm addict (stands up and waves).
To feed my addiction further, I’ve got both KALA Style’s Gal Collection Red Currant balm and their Agatha Ruiz de la Prada Tropical balm. Perfectly moisturizing without being goopy or overly glossy. And there’s zero stickiness!
But I don’t stop at using them just for my lips.
These kitschy little tins are perfect for cuticles, nails, hands and elbows while you’re on the go. And as a bonus, the Tropical is packed with SPF 15. I always get comments on the look of the tins (“COOL!” followed by them being snatched by my hands.).
And the scents and ingredients are wonderful. Red Currant is packed with actual red currant for your lippies. And the scent of Tropical is absolutely perfect for summer.
These balms are what I call “quirky trendy”. It’s those little bits of style that you surround yourself with. Maybe you don’t mean too, but they add a whimsical touch and bit of happiness to everyday life. A sort of something that brings out your indie side, and makes you smile.
I give these balms the very hard-to-earn Bionic Buy rating. Definitely one of my favorite items in 2009 so far!
KALA Style lip balms are available at Urban Outfitters stores (the balms are one of their top sellers!) and online at KALAstyle.com for only $6 for a BIG half-ounce tin. I must warn you… Tropical sells out quick when a new shipment comes in!
And be sure to check out their famous Hope and Love soaps. Those are NEXT on my wish list. Can’t wait to get my Bionic mitts on ’em!
