Hi Jannie, I am glad you did your research before buying too! It helps so much when there are more makeup options than we can ever try. And there are high-quality, natural options available that are much more affordable too.

As for the Coconut Oil, I use that on my face, hair, body and nails as well. I was just trying to warn BB readers that they should be careful when using any new oil (or any product, for that matter) since everyone's skin reacts differently. Coconut Oil and Jojoba Oil are two of the best. Yet, there are a few people who still get reactions from them. I did at first when using Jojoba because my skin had to detox and adjust to the natural oils; while not having to compensate by over-producing oil everyday. Once my skin balanced, everything was beautiful! That's also why I recommend most women to test a new skin care regimen/product for at least 4-6 weeks before making deciding if it works for your skin or not.

I also want to welcome you to Bionic Beauty! :) I hope to see you around the blog in the future. Always feel free to comment or email me with questions, suggestions, etc.
Have a great week!
Best,
Jami

Thank you for listing the ingredients. I was sure it wasn't a "natural product" and am glad I took the time to research before falling for the hype.
Also, I have been using Organic Cocnut Oil on my face almost daily for years, so don't understand you saying it can cause breakouts. I'd say the coconut oil in this product is tainted by the other garbage included.

Thank you

I really don't understand why all the mass produced companies feel the need to add bismuth oxychloride to their formulations. It seems to me that these larger companies are more concerned with the visual presentation and tactile feel of a product than they are it's function and quality. Bismuth is an inexpensive way to bulk up a product, give it that "glow", and a soft touch between your fingers. Who cares that it can turn colors, or how it feels on your face, and not between your fingers? The same glowy look can be achieved using a more natural ingredient than a by-product of lead and copper processing that irritates many people's skin. Shea butter sounds all nice and good as well, but by adding it to their products, they now have to add preservatives to prevent/retard the rancidity. Isn't the whole point of "mineral makeup" to have something that won't go bad on you, and is composed without preservatives and fillers?
