Aquafina did it first… now Glaceau, the makers of Vitamin Water drinks, have teamed with Bonne Bell to create Vitamin Schtick lip balms.

All the flavors come packed with SPF 20 to protect your lips this summer; and vitamin E to help moisturize. Glaceau sent me the Acai-Blueberry-Pomegranate flavor to test and review. While I certainly love the added vitamin E and SPF – this balm never really soaked into my lips. It sat on top as more of a liquid. It also wore off incredibly quick and actually dried my lips out after a few days of consistent use. Of course, you may have better luck.
For now, I’ll stick with my favorite lip balms: YBF’s Quench and all-natural My Lip Stuff.
Look for the Vitamin Schtick Lip Balms at your local Walgreens or grocery for $2.99.

that’s so sad to hear

i love xxx vitamin water (my favorite of all the flavors
but i hate chapstick that doesn’t sink in, and if it dries them out?! ew.
but im a big sucker for things like this (usually with more disappointment than luck, sadly) but i recently bought the lip smackers/bonnebell all natural chapstick in a guava flavor, and it felt really nice on my lips, and smelled good, but had no flavor, so i didn’t spend my time licking it off lol. i’d buy it again ; )
Thanks for your honest opinion. I will not waste my money on this one. My lips are chapped enough.
I had the exact same experience with this lip balm. I keep it in my car though for emergencies… it doesn’t melt in the heat like my favorite balms do. With such great SPF, maybe this inexpensive brand should be a must have beach bag item.
I break out in hives when I drink vitamin water, so I’ll be staying clear of their lip balm as well! lol
@Bailee, Thanks for the recommendation on the BonneBell guava balm. I’ll be sure to give that a try. I usually like their products, too! And I love Vitamin Water drinks as well, they are perfect on a hot summer day!
@Robyn, You’re welcome. I’ll always be as honest as possible.
@Joycey, You are using yours pretty much like I am! I have mine in the car in case I forget my regular lip balms during a purse switch or something. Plus like you said, I do appreciate the SPF factor. It also works “okay” as an emergency hand balm if you don’t have lotion nearby – I always seem to forget my hand lotion whenever my hands decide to become crazy dry. Argh!
@Stacy, Ouch! Definitely steer clear then. Do any other of the flavored water drinks have the same reaction for you?
Cheers to everyone!
Jami
I actually loved the lip balm!! I bought the power c (it’s my favorite)…I’ve been looking for more and I can’t find them anywhere! Any idea where they could have gone?? But you girls are right…u do have to constantly reapply…my lips never got chapped though!
Hey guys.. i dont know if its just me but when i put the chapstick on my lips, it gives my mouth a nasty taste in my mouth, i have the purple one and red one because it was 1 dollar for each so i was like why not and i tried it and right away there was a nasty flavor, im just going to use these two and i might not buy anymore
I see what you mean about it not soaking in, but I love the stuff! It does wear off rather quickly, but I have that same luck with all lip balms. :-/
where can i find this lip balm because walgreens’ website says they’re no longer selling this item online, and i tried looking in store but no luck.
Hot Topic sells a dragonfruit one.
Do not buy this I got some and when you use it you get this gross taste in your mouth. It’s awful.
