Hi Carol,
Jami's point is a great one, which I agree with and appreciate she made. The products are very concentrated and meant to be used sparingly.

I also agree Carol that $150 is a lot to spend for any skincare product. I believe though that our products are fairly priced when compared to other brand's products competing at the same price point.

There are lots of great brands and products to choose from at almost every price point. I hope that anyone with sticker shock over our prices also looks at other brands with similarly-priced products...that's when our value becomes clear.

Here's an excerpt from an interview in Oct of 2008, where price of our products came up:

"What distinguishes YBF’s products, which range from $120-$160 per item , to say , a $10 eye cream or moisturizer at Walgreens?

Darrell: Quite a lot actually – the best word to sum it up though, is confidence. Spending $10 on an eye cream is a relatively small investment for most people for an eye cream and usually, they don’t expect too much from such a product. And for $10, there really are a lot of decent eye creams to choose from . The same isn’t true for eye creams hitting the $150 mark. It really takes a leap of faith as a consumer, that the product will deliver results expected for that amount of money.

We wanted to make an incredible $150 eye cream and I believe that’s what we’ve done. Our retailer pointed out an important distinction between a brand with good products and one with good marketing. Customers come back to brands with good products and it’s exciting for us to hear that customers are buying more YBF once their first purchase runs out."

Carol, we are always looking for ways to provide our customers better value for their investment in products and your post just helps us keep that top of mind - thank you! We have some exciting things in the works right now that will add even more value to our brand and products, so I hope you'll keep an eye on us and try our products whenever you have the opportunity.

Thank you again Carol and please always feel free to write to me personally too with questions or feedback.

Sincerely,
Darrell Owens, founding partner & principal formulator

Hi Carol,

I totally agree that YBF is expensive... but if this helps at all, you really won't need a new bottle every month. You literally use a drop of each product. One bottle should last you 3-4 months with daily use. I do two varieties in the morning (usually Defend on my face and Correct on my eyes) and then two at night (Restore and Control).

I hope this information and my experience helps a bit. :)
Hope to see you around Bionic Beauty in the future!
All the best,
Jami (aka Bionic Beauty)

I love the ingredients, but at the HUGE prices and the SMALL SIZES I just can not do it. It just seems like an overload. I finally persuaded myself to buy the products which took time and toiling on its own.

Then when I found out one of the $160.00 items were only 1 ounce and the other $150.00 item was only .5 ounce it was an OVERkill! The combination of the extremely HIGH COST with SMALL VERY SMALL SIZES just made me immediately decide NO. No toiling. No afterthougths.

Then I realized that even if they do work THEY ARE ONLY TEMPORARY. Say I use the Correct and Control for 1 month. That is about $350.00+ dollars a month (the products themselves are likely $305.00 but with shipping and taxes that increases)! And it is temporary meaning the minute I stop using them my skin will revert back to what it was before. So that is about $4,200.00 a year!

In a year I could have applied that $4,200.00 to a mini lift that is permanant!

I don't think the two founders of this product watched "The Apprentice"when Mr. Trumph talked about how overpricing deters buying.
