Spring 2009: Bobbi Brights Samba look

by Bionic Beauty on 19.Feb.2009 · 6 comments

As some of you know, I got my Bobbi Brights eyeshadow palette. I ran around the house bouncing and squealing while my dogs looked at me like I had lost every bit of brain activity. Oh well. The palette is adorable. Some colors are too pale (even for me) and some don’t show up on my skin, but the truly bright colors are very cute.

This look was really easy. I was wearing a shirt that was cream at the shoulder and faded into a burnt orange/sienna color by the time it reached the waste. Pretty flowers (hibiscus!!) were outlined and fall across the front. I loved the shirt so much that I created this look to go with it.

I swept Coral (a very peachy orange matte) across entire lid. On outer half of the eye, I used Samba (a burnt orange just like my shirt!). Blend the two together a little.

I lined my upper lash line with Jane’s Be Pure Mineral Gel Eyeliner in Dark Brown. One coat of mascara to finish.

For a color chart of shadows include into the palette, check out my announcement article. It has a full chart, color names, and pictures of the palette. Stay tuned for more looks created with this palette.

Do you like the Jane eyeliner? I’ve been using Rimmel, but it schmears all over the place. I’d like something that goes on like a crayon, not a liquid liner. Thanks!

Cheap Chick, I ADORE the Jane gel eyeliners! and guess what? This week they are Buy One, Get One Free at Walgreens! But these go on with a little brush. You drag the brush across the gel pot and then line your eye. I actually find them easier than pencils, and I’m a pro at pencils. And MUCH, much easier than liquid liner. :)

Thai, Thanks! And welcome to Bionic Beauty! I hope to see you around here more often!

Leane, Aww shucks. Thank you!! I really really loved this look and have worn it several times since. It’s colorful without being heavy or too crazy.

Jen, Have you tried the Jane gel eyeliners yet? Tis the week if you haven’t. BOGO’s are grand. I picked up the last 2 I was missing. Woo hoo!

Oh, I bet the Walgreens special is off… but I’ll have to try those Jane gel liners out. :) I hate liquid liner because of my clutzy nature… Lol, it always gets all over my face!
