Summer 2009: Optical lips… from Lancome

Optics are typically associated with lips, right? Lancome’s new La Laque Fever lip gloss (a super long wearing color) has a new hot color out for summer- Optical Rose, and I’m here with a review!

The gloss itself has a pink toned base but the uniqueness lies in the shimmer. It’s loaded with micro particles that reflect light in all colors of the spectrum. It’s great alone (as I’m wearing it above) or layered over your favorite lipstick. The long wearing formula is super, but it is a tad sticky. The formula also has a ‘ane’ smell (like those gaseous fumes that you get from campground stoves) which I really am not fond of. But it dissipates relatively quickly. Also on the con side, it’s relatively pricey for a gloss.
