@joycey couture: LOL at your comment. I once saw Jack Scalia, the actor, driving a Ferrari in LA…it worked for him; anyone else, I am suspicious of what’s under the hood!

@BB: I have learned in life that when people act or say things like this woman said to you at the gym, it is ALL about them and their issues! Wow, talk about holding up a sign that shouts, “I’m insecure and the only self-esteem I have are on my feet!” And I’m betting she actually got them in Paris, Texas!!

I bet when she compliments others, she’s only lfishing for one herself. She’s insecure. Plain as day. So when this one came from you, out of no where, she panicked.

And, by the way, who dresses like that at the gym!?

I hate to say it… but it’s like men who buy Ferraris. They are over compensating for something, else.

Hmm… trying to think of a time something like this happened to me. I should remember a few hundred from living in Boca Raton, Florida! Goodness… fake capital of the world!

So, did you know you could win a free breast augmentation at a night club in South Florida? Ha, yup… the 500th customer gets big fake jugs. Sweet. But what do I get if I don’t want them!?

That’s a total moment for “Well, money can’t buy class honey, so there are some things YOU’LL never be able to afford”.
I think people try to intimidate others into respecting them, but forget that’s not respect. I suspect that she has to prove to herself she’s worth something, and her chosen method isn’t going to be a good long term investment for her.
It’s easy to be harsh and rude, it takes real effort to be outgoing and gracious.
And forgive me if I’m wrong here, but don’t people usually feel GOOD when someone gives them a compliment? Here people usually perk right up and beam if you tell them they have nice boots…

Ugh, how rude!!! No matter how beautifully a person’s dressed, a snide comment like that just make them UGLY.

I can’t recall a specific situation where a person’s anti-powerful beauty was displayed in all its glory in my presence, but I remember they’ve all included people being horribly nasty to others and a great deal of apathetic self-neglect and self-abuse.

OMG – This makes me want to be very powerful – upside her head. Rude! And don’t get me started again on the whole “take the damn compliment” train…. hehe.
