Theraplex offers 4 types of lotions to serve all our differing skin care needs. There’s Hydrolotion, Clearlotion, Emollient, and FT Exfoliating Emollient.

Hydrolotion: This is a great basic lotion to use as a daily moisturizer. It’s gentle, sinks in really well and is unscented. This formula does contain alcohol which can be drying on super-dry skin, so I would suggest getting some samples to test first. And since this lotion contains dimethicone it can also function as an under-makeup primer. Dimethicone functions as a skin smoother- helping to hide large pores and smooth fine lines. While I didn’t test this function, I did find it worked super well with daily use on my hands, legs and arms. 8 ounces for $16.50

Clearlotion: Theraplex’s Clearlotion is billed for use after showering or bathing. It’s an oil based formula (with Jojoba oil and petrolatum fraction) that helps lock in moisture in your skin, thus avoiding the horrendous dry skin process to begin with. Again, it’s unscented which is nice for a change and beneficial to those sensitive to added fragrances. I did find that this took a little while to soak into the skin and initially left you a bit “sticky”. Afterwards though, my skin was soft and supple. Nice product! 8 oz for $18.50

Emollient: Here is Theraplex’s description of this lotion: “For persistent and severely dry skin; Chronic skin conditions, such as: Psoriasis, Eczema, Xerosis and Ichthyosis. Theraplex Emollient contains the highest concentration of special petrolatum fraction for maximum effectiveness without irritation.” While I don’t have any of those skin conditions, this lotion/cream is incredibly moisturizing! If you ever experience super dry skin with allergies, seasonal changes, etc, this is your solution. Incredible! it’s unscented, hypoallergenic. While it looks pricey, I will warn you that I used too much product at first. Be sure to only use a little dab! It sinks in quicker and better that way; plus you can always apply a tad more if needed. 4.3 ounces for $21.00

FT Exfoliating Emollient: Specifically designed for “dual-action treatment for dry skin and scaly, callused feet”, the FT Exfoliating cream is super moisturizing, thick (similar to a body butter). It contain camphor to soothe tired feet and salicylic acid to slough away rough skin. This was my favorite product for the Theraplex line. I LOVED how soft my feet got– perfect for sandals and in an incredibly short amount of time! 2.5 ounces for $21.00

All the lotions are available at the website. They also offer gift packs/sets. Overall, I’m pleased with this skincare line. I’m always happy to find alternatives to lotion for hand and body that aren’t overly fragrant and I always need a moisturizer with a little extra “Oompf” for winter time.
