Neon nail polishes are a HUGE trend for this spring and summer – just check out Milani’s new drugstore versions! OPI, China Glaze and Sinful Colors have also released bright, 80s inspired colors.
While some of them are opaque, others tend to be a bit on the translucent side. To get the brightest result from your neons, start with a coat of plain white polish underneath your neon polish.
The white acts as a primer to even the base color of your nail bed and really makes the neon color pop!

White base first to make the neon nail polish pop. That’s a good one. I’ll keep that in mind!
Hi Glenda, I’m glad I could help! I have tried this now with a few different brands of neons and it really works great. Especially on colors that can be a bit streaky (yellows are notorious for that)… now I’m not having any trouble getting my bright yellow polishes to look even.
Have a great day!
Cheers,
Jami
The nail polish shades are very attractive. For myself I prefer Rad Purple. It is my favourite shade.
