Ever been baffled by how to “contour” your cheeks? As a round-faced gal, I know I have been. Here’s a quick video (literally… it’s only 1 minute, 45 seconds) with some tips on face highlighting, contouring your cheeks with blush, creams and bronzers. It was produced by NARS Cosmetics, but you can use the tips and methods applied with any products in your makeup bag.
Do you contour on your cheeks? Or highlight? Do you do it on an everyday basis, or just occasionally? I only take the time on special events, with a normal dab of color on the apples of my cheeks for day to day wear.

i don’t have time to do the fancy stuff everyday, but i try to get a pop of cheek color in!
She makes it look so easy.

I agree, makes it look easy but a little harder upon application I presume. I have a round face as well so never sure how to handle blush so just stopped wearing.
Ohh looks fun, but I guess I’ll have to buy a highlighter?
Gracieo- She does make it look easy. But what I do, is practice at home or on the weekends when I’m not going out. That way you can get the hang of it. Or try it with super light colors to start.
Stephanie- I have a round face too. I rarely wear blush, just on special nights. But when I do, I put it in a circle just on the front apples of my cheeks. Just a small dab and then swish your brush around in a circle motion (rather than blending up to your hairline). I think this works much better for our face shapes. Hope it helps!
Hazel- If you’d just like to try the method, instead of buying a highlighter, look through your current makeup case. Do you have a peach or pink toned eyeshadow that might work? Or maybe a nude taupe or light brown (or even cream or white) shimmery eye shadow? Think outside the box. Most cosmetics can do double duty.
Let me know if you ladies try this out and what your success is!

Ah, great video..
I just starting using this technique as well and absolutely love the results! My face is incredibly round with the addition of dimples.. so, as you can imagine, any kind of contouring tips are welcome. Thanks BB!
This is a great video and I love the results that contouring gives me. I have a pear-shaped face so contouring is important. However, I’ll admit I don’t do it everyday. I’ll usually save the ‘fancy’ stuff for evenings out.
