As you know the makers of DuWop cosmetics recently launched a full line of makeup inspired by the Twilight book and movie series. One of the key items is the V Lip Venom.
One of my online buddies sent me a sample she found in the Twilight magazine… and now I can share my thoughts via a review!
Twilight V Lip Venom lip stain by DuWop and Twilight Beauty
V is actually a bright red lipstain that, like most lip stains, lasts quite long on your lips. However, this stain is not for the mild-at-heart. It’s very red. Red-red!
The whole Lip Venom thing has always baffled me. It doesn’t seem to plump lips, but V in particular stings. Is the the whole pleasure and pain thing? And if so, why in our makeup? But I digress…
This lip stain is loaded with cinnamon. If you don’t like stinging on your lips, you’ll need to pass on this.
For color reference, I’m including photographs of me wearing the new V Lip Venom. This is one coat. You can layer it for more color if you’d like.

Application hint: Be sure to SHAKE the bottle before applying- the cinnamon oil, glitter and red stain separate in the vial.
Twilight Beauty “V” Lip Venom ($16) is available on now on TwilightBeauty.com.

Strange….Im not sure I would pay for a product that stings the heck out of my lips! lol
That is a pretty red, but I would have to pass on the sting!
it looks really nice! I don’t like pain with my makeup though lol
Jami this color looks fabulous on you! I think I’m going to try this, I need a good red and I prefer stains to lipstick. Thanks for the review!
I have been wanting to try red so I think I might go for it but hello I had no idea there was a twilight magizine! Any info on that?
Hey Devon, Yes there is! I don’t know if it’s just a one time deal or what. I found mine at Barnes & Noble. But I’ve also seen it at drugstores and Books a Million. My copy didn’t have a sample inside, but it did have lots of cool behind-the-scene outfits and like 6 posters!
Stephanie, Kelly & Jessica, I was going to order it, but glad I sampled it first. I figure I’ll just stick to my favorite lip stains. I love the one by Sonia Kashuk at Target. Plus it’s cheap!
Sarah, I can’t wait to see it on you! The color really is pretty! Plus I like that it has a bit of sparkle, which most stains don’t. I just wish it was a bit less red with the first coat. Something more “just bitten” rather than full on red. But either way, I love lip stains since I HATE reapplying lip gloss and lipstick through the day!
i tried this too, and none of that red. If I did it was only in patches, and yes it did burn way worse then any of their other products. plus when they burn like that, you know your lips are going to get dry. I sent it back.
I couldn’ get the color to come out at all. and I DUG at the bottom for the color, tried turning it over, and pushing the brush at it. nothing worked! augh.
Love that lip color!
The Twilight stain is similar to DuWop’s Lip Venom, Moon Venom, Pink Shimmer Venom…..you know The DuWop Venom craze???
It’s kinda weird…I have read many review’s where people feel like and use the word “addicted” to these product’s. When I use them, I get the same weird craving when I run out. Can’t explain it. Not gonna try!
It is plumping but very drying, don’t err as I did and just went for straight cinnamon oil..owwwwwwwww!!!
I guess it’s somewhere out there in the Twilight Zone!
Twilight Anonymous coming next?
Hot Pepper’s are supposed to release endorphine’s…….like hot mexican sauce???
OK, I think I’ll shutup now.
I used to live near Fork’s, WA where the movie was filmed and have extensively backpacked the Olympia Rain Forest.
Now If I tried it I think the heebie Jeebie’s would freak Me out!
It truly is one of the most beautiful place’s on Earth, the Old Growth tree’s and the long plentiful mosses…..great getaway idea but stay on the trail’s and learn the look’s of the dangerous plant’s there….they hurt probably much worse than the Lip Venom.
