Many of you know that I am a total Harry Potter and Twilight fan-girl. When movies or books I enjoy get released, it usually involves quite a bit of fan-fare on my part. I have a propensity for costuming, or adding little details to my outfits (like my Bella Moonstone ring), which both liven up the experience for me.
I didn’t see the Eclipse movie on opening night, but I did create this Eclipsed-themed nail art. I drew inspiration from the book cover and added some extra highlights to make it a bit more vibrant.
Bionic Beauty's Eclipse themed nail art
I used two coats of Sally Hansen Salon in Deepest of Violets for the base. Then drew the red ribbon with OPI’s “I’m Not Really a Waitress” and highlighted with Milani’s nail art polish in “Art of Silver”. I topped everything with a coat of Seche Vite.
Did you see Eclipse yet? Or do you ever create nail art based on books, movies, or other things you love?

ha! love it. I haven’t yet created nail art based on a theme (yet) but I have done my toes with nearly the same base color you used here and then I added a white swirly/sparkly decal on my big toes. The base color was one that I posted about on the nail polish reviews. It was one of my Maybelline Express Finish polishes. I love the color but will be replacing it soon with “Yes I Can Can” by OPI. Looks nearly identical to the base color you used here!
I also have done my daughters’ finger nails with peaches and pinks and assorted flowery decals. –FUN!!!
I love it! I am a twilight addict lol I did seen the movie, and really thought it was great.
YOU DID A NICE JOB ! REALLY CREATIVE, I LIKE THAT. I HAVE NOT TRIED IT BASED ON A MOVIE, BUT NOW YOU HAVE ME THINKING.
GOOD OLD SALLY~ I LIKE THE COLOR, SHE IS SO DEPENDABLE AND UP TO DATE ON ALOT OF THINGS FOR REASONABLE PRICES. PS. I LOVE TWIGHT TOO.

I love your love for all things Twilight, even in the face of my withering disapproval!
Love this pedi – very cute, even for a non-Twi-hard like me!
And congrats again on your blogiversary!!!!
thanks everyone!!
I got lots of compliments on it when I finally saw Eclipse earlier last week.
@Robyn, If you want guidance on where to get a sterling silver moodring or a sterling silver moonstone ring- let me know. I have both and wear them daily. It took me ages to find them with excellent quality craftmanship. So… I’d be happy to share my Etsy favorite stores with you! Both take custom orders too, so you can get the exact size you need. I always wore a $2 mood ring for the past 10 years, and this past Christmas, my Grandmom got me my Sterling Silver one. I wear it EVERY day!!! I’m one of those people who’d rather have jewelry that is a bit different and out-of-the-ordinary.
My other favorite is a pop-tab bracelet that I made for myself (and one for my sister). I may start selling those and maybe will even include a few in my upcoming charity auctions. I get TONS of compliments on them. Plus then the winner will have something truly unique and handmade for a more unique feel.
MWAH to everyone. Thank you all for being such lovely readers!!! (Even for those of you who aren’t Twilight-nuts like me… ha ha!)
