What is with these people who leave random negative comments on blogs that lack support? Anyway, I love this look and the whole point is about having fun. I think Jami succeed nicely at enjoying herself while she interpreted a favorite fictional character. That also seems much more fun than randomly trolling insults through blog comments. Lighten up choofa and try to enjoy yourself in positive manner sometime. You might find that you actually like it.

What Jami said, plus one other thought (and my apologies to the Twi-hards I love, but...)
Alice Cullen is not a fashionista (I'm fairly certain that was the actual word you were going for) because Alice Cullen ISN'T REAL. She's a character in a book. Make believe. She's not insulted by anything anyone does or does not do because she doesn't exist.
I also fail to see how a dress that falls below someone's knees and doesn't show cleavage or midsection could be regarded as slutty. Considering the trash that many young women will traipse around in I'd say it's practically prudish. Remember ladies, a belt is not a skirt.
And it pains me greatly to even comment on this because I don't even LIKE Twilight, but I do adore Jami to the ends of the earth so it's worth the sacrifice!

Hi Chooofa,

First, welcome to Bionic Beauty! Second, I see you disagree with my costume tips. However, they are the SAME makeup tips used from the makeup artist on the set of the Twilight movies. No, I do not look like Alice Cullen, but that's the wonderful part of costuming- you get to INTERPRET a character in the manner that you identify with that character. When I read the Twilight books- I pictured Alice in sparkly clothing (similar to the top she is described wearing at Bella's graduation party at the Cullen's house- black sequins with red pants), with dramatic eyeliner and red-stained lips.

To be honest, I pictured Alice with shorter hair than mine, however for a costume/cosplay I typically do not wear wigs and just have fun with what I have available, which was my natural hair; and yes, at this time it was purple.

I have confidence in myself and in the tips I provided. I know you do not agree. Creativity and thinking outside-the-box or norm of society is a trait that should be encouraged. In fact, Stephenie Meyer herself has stated similar things many times. Society has too much affect on our young women these days... from dieting to clothing labels, to the type of pet you should have- it's excessive. Being yourself is what is important. And that is what makes you a Powerful Beauty!

I know you probably will not respond to this comment, but I truly hope that you can open your mind a bit and also remember that hurtful comments towards anyone, even in the "semi-anonymous" atmosphere of the internet, is inexcusable. Calling someone a slut is not "cool", "trendy" or anything else. It actually just makes you appear petty, narcissistic, and shows you lack self-esteem by having to attack others to make yourself feel better. I really hope your parents taught you better than that.

Regardless, Bionic Beauty is an open forum and you are entitled to your opinion. And if you would like to submit a photograph of yourself and list some costuming tips for Twilight costumes, please do! I welcome it! You can post a link to the photo in your comment back or email it to me directly so I can post it. Costuming tips help everyone!

Thanks for the Alice makeup tutorial as well!! You look great as an "altered" Alice. That's what is so great about the Twilight universe. You can meld the characters to how you see them in your eye.
