i like Dove Energy Glow the best but im hearing a lot of good things about Jergen’s every where I look.

Out of the blue, a co-worker told me of Kiehl’s self tanning formula. There’s only one place in my town to get it & I haven’t worked up the nerve to go there yet. I’m still not entirely sold on the whole notion, but I am soooo pale I’m blue.

She swears by it after it having taken her quite a while to “come around” herself! So for that reason, I might bite. I’d love to read another review.

Clarins and Lancome do not smell bad! Yay!!! L’Oreal owns Lancome, do you guys think they would make a similar product? I want to try theirs, but don’t wanna waste $$ on it. Might be cheaper but be crap. I like the L’Oreal prices better than Lancome’s !

Kara, Thanks for your words of wisdom! Those of us with sensitive skin really have trouble finding products that don’t cause breakouts or reactions. I picked up a Shimmer Sheer on your recommendation.

Nikki, Thank you as well! I grabbed the Lancome Flash Bronzer for face this weekend since I like their Flash Bronzer for body as well. I’m hoping it will work. I’m crossing my fingers.

P.S. Neither Clarins nor Lancome smell bad, either, like most do! Very light, pleasant smell and neither cause your skin to break out in zits!

As a freelance makeup artist, I have tried just about every bronzing and tanning product imaginable, from drugstores, department stores and even the brands sold at home parties. For your face, I recommend Clarins Express Tanning Gel or Lancome Flash Bronzer for the face. A good powder bronzer is by MAC; it is not glittery or too shimmery like many brands.

Yeah… I’m big on the bronzer technique. What I found that I really love is Neutrogena’s Shimmer Sheers in Mystified for my pale skin. A dab as a blush, or more all over for a tanned look.

I did try that Jergen’s gradual tanner. But it makes my face itches if i use it too much, so only sparingly – which is pretty much detrimental to the whole “build-up process.” My face is sooo sensitive, if it doesn’t break out, it gets dry. If it isn’t those, then it’s itchy which turns into splotchy skin (and forget trying to wear foundation or anything, because I’ll scratch that right off!)

Natural tanning under the summer sun with SPF is the best way to go for me, sad to say!

Just FYI Laura Gellar is on QVC today and they are selling bronze and brighten for 2 easy pays. I think she comes on again at 4 ( thats central time ) but it’s on the qvc website..along with her other products!
